Meet James

Dr. James Banks’ bestselling writing on prayer, translated into multiple languages, has encouraged readers worldwide. James makes prayer practical, writing from the heart with insights drawn from God’s Word and the “down to earth” experience of everyday life. James and his wife Cari have two adult children and make their home in Durham, NC, where James is the founding pastor of Peace Church. James also writes for Our Daily Bread, and holds degrees from Westmont College, Princeton and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminaries. He is a frequent guest on radio and television and a popular speaker at conferences and retreats.

Geoff's Story

James and Cari prayed for their son for years. Geoff struggled with addiction to opiates and eventually heroin, and was in and out of rehab and the court system.
